Chris Westbrook

President, Service & Growth

After more than 25 years in pharmacy benefits, Chris Westbrook knows the assumptions that shaped yesterday’s pharmacy model won’t carry organizations into what comes next. As President, Service & Growth at Expion Health, he helps turn that perspective into stronger solutions, client partnerships and growth strategy.

Chris oversees sales and growth, client experience, product, operations, people and culture, and regulatory and compliance. Across those functions, he sets growth strategy, guides key client relationships and helps shape Expion’s product roadmap, while ensuring teams have what they need to deliver. His focus is keeping growth and innovation rooted in the problems clients are actually trying to solve, from managing pharmacy costs to improving care and patient affordability.

Before joining Expion, Chris held leadership roles at OptumRx, Catamaran and CatalystRx. Working across multiple sides of the pharmacy benefits industry gave him a firsthand view of how prescription economics play out from different stakeholder perspectives. That experience shaped his belief that the strongest outcomes come from true alignment with the client and relationships built around shared problem-solving and a willingness to keep looking for a better approach.

He also holds an MBA from the University of Georgia, complementing the industry experience and leadership perspective he brings to the work.

What quote represents your personal philosophy?

“Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.” —Steve Jobs

When you’re not busy moving pharmacy forward, what can we find you doing?

I have a love for the water and a curiosity for new places. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me on the lake I live on with my two golden retrievers, or exploring somewhere I’ve never been before.

Move beyond the pharmacy black box
