Expion Health® has earned a 2026 CIO 100 Award from Foundry’s CIO division, honoring its ExpionIQ® platform in the Digital Transformation & Modernization category. Suresh Kumar, the company’s Chief Information & Transformation Officer, accepted the award during the CIO 100 Awards and Conference held on August 19 in Frisco, Texas.
For over four decades, the CIO 100 Awards have acknowledged organizations demonstrating excellence in technology leadership, innovation, and business impact. This marks Expion Health’s second CIO 100 Award, with the previous honor received in 2024 for ExpionIQ Advisor.
The recognition arrives as health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and self-funded employers grapple with mounting prescription costs, shifting regulatory landscapes, and growing demands for transparency. ExpionIQ aids organizations by converting pharmacy and rebate data into practical insights enabling better decision-making.
According to Richard Smith, Head of Event Content for the CIO 100 Awards & Conference: “The CIOs we’re recognizing this year aren’t just keeping the lights on, they’re driving the business.”
Expion Health received recognition for ExpionIQ, which blends AI, advanced analytics, and pharmacy knowledge to improve visibility into prescription performance and cost management opportunities.
Kumar stated that “ExpionIQ was built to make decisions, not simply orchestrate workflow and report on them.” He emphasized how the platform transforms scattered cost information into actionable recommendations.
The award complements other recent honors for Expion Health, including a 2024 CIO 100 Award, an inaugural UiPath AI10 Award, and consecutive appearances on Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing companies roster.
